Photoshop Tasks

Summary:
We had to recreate a Gucci Print Advert to help us understand Photoshop. The foreground, background and text were all separate and we has to fit and create the style of each part. The Gucci text used Assassins font from Dafont.com and the style of it was a mixture of texture, layer styles and contour.

Summary:
We were asked to create our own Photoshop print advert. I decided to create a fragrance advert.

I started by finding three pictures, the fragrance, the girl and the background, cropped out a lot of the white background and layered them on top of each other and added a book like effect on top. Then added the text to create an catch-phrase for the brand.

Unit 1 - Regulatory Frameworks & The Brand

Regulatory Frameworks -

Part 2
The brand from Ellis01

OFCOM: If a music video ever reached a TV station Ofcom would be issued to make sure it doesn't break any of its codes, so Harm and Offence if it is a very brutal video, it could be shown after watershed or not at all. It may also need to make sure it doesn't have any commercial references etc.

ASA: ASA helps with Ad's so therefore if I were to make an advert for my music video creation then if I ever broke a code or mislead customers then my advert would be changed or removed and that could affect my business financially.

IPSO: My creative venture will not be affected to a full extent by IPSO, however if ever an article was written about my business then IPSO would make sure my rights weren't breached.

BBFC:Unless music videos are released on DVD or BBFC applied to youtube and added a certificate rating. I do not think it would have any affect on my venture.

PEGI: PEGi should not affect me as it is not a video game.

Creative Industries Council: The Creative Industries Council can help to provide a better working environment for creative industries and business in the UK as a lot of different sectors be there, it is likely I would be affected in some way.

Unit 1 & 2 - Cultural Policy

Intellectual Property - (Positive) This will help to protect my creations such as a logo, name or video style. The only time it would not be my intellectual property is if I sign it away.

Copyright - Copyright is needed as it allows me to have legal rights to my creations, such as videos, however it may effect my videos if I use someone else's music as if money is made of it, it may get sent to them. A contract would need to be discussed before creating it.

Trademarks - My logo would be a trademark, also in videos I should stay clear of having trademark symbols of other companies in shot.

Creative economy from ellispars

In my own personal development, I would make up the TV and Film side of the Creative Economy.
